Steelhead fishing has been fair. Steelhead are rolling but not biting. Blue wing olives, alevins and egg patterns are best bets. Pressure is light. There also are steelhead being reported below the 152 Bridge.  Fish First (530) 343-8300

San Joaquin River (fresh water river)

Stripers in the 8 to 10 pound range are being caught on the San Joaquin River near Stockton. Most are 22 to 24 inches. There’s action at Old River, but it’s spotty. Fresh shad is the top bait. H&R Bait & Tackle (209) 463-1938
