A few salmon are being caught. Brighter fish are in the lower river. Basin fish are getting dark. Some steelhead are found from Goethe Park to lower Sailor Bar. Get out early for those. Kiene’s (916) 486-9958

Feather River near Oroville has little visibility. High Flow doesn’t have fish. Guide Manuel Saldana Jr. reports limits of salmon, often early, on the Feather. Sacramento River (Red Bluff to Chico) (fresh water river)

San Joaquin River (fresh water river)

Stripers in the 8 to 10 pound range are being caught on the San Joaquin River near Stockton. Most are 22 to 24 inches. There’s action at Old River, but it’s spotty. Fresh shad is the top bait. H&R Bait & Tackle (209) 463-1938
