Salmon are being caught from Soquel Hole. Only a few boats are on it. Halibut are biting from the Whistle Buoy past the Cement Ship in 50 to 60 feet of water. Anchovies are plentiful near the Capitola Pier. There are some white sea bass around.   (831) 462-2208

Bottom fishing has been consistently good. Big Reef is good when the wind is down. South Reef and Little South Reef are productive. Salmon bite has slowed. Salmon are pouring into the Klamath but the bite is poor due to warm water. Perch bite is good at South Beach and near the mouth of the Klamath.  (707) 464-1650

Salmon bite fell off Sunday. Salmon are in less than 100 feet of water and just a mile outside the harbor. Private skiffs are doing better than party boat anglers. A lot of fish over 30 pounds are being caught. (707) 964-3710

A few salmon are being caught at California City. Not many are fishing the spot, but one or two per day are being caught. Afternoon tides are excellent for trying for salmon in the bay at California City. Halibut bite has rebounded. Best action is at Red Rock, Raccoon Strait, Angel Island and Alcatraz. (415) 456-0321

Anglers are going right off the head to catch salmon in 80 feet of water. The close to shore bite has been going on since the weekends. Sea lions are an issue.
