The big storm left in its wake rising lakes and muddy rivers. Conditions will limit fishing in the short term but provide much better opportunities in the not-so-distant future, especially for sturgeon and steelhead anglers. For now, there is excellent action for cutthroat at Pyramid Lake, clear lake conditions at Shadow Cliffs, solid bass fishing at Lake Shasta despite muddy water, and a growing sturgeon bite near the Mothball Fleet.
