Keep an eye on the weather report, if the wind dies down there’s no reason to think the salmon bite won’t be back on. When weather allows there have been limits from Half Moon Bay north to Eureka. Keep an eye on the tide tables. Big tides next week mean another good shot at sturgeon. When those tides subside it will be time for live bait drifting for halibut. Plus, be ready to move on shad. It’s not red-hot but that can change soon. Meanwhile, here are this week’s Best Bites:

Klamath-Trinity fall salmon limit expected to be 4 fish

The 2013 Fall Chinook salmon regulations for the Klamath and Trinity River drainages are in the final approval phase.  The proposed season for the Klamath River will be from September 1st through December 31st.  The Trinity River season will run from September1st through December 31st.
